Custard puff pastry


. 250 g puff pastry
(you can also use ready rolled puff pastry. But this puff pastry is a homemade one, made by topchefpro Chef Naj and she added a drop of food color in hers)

. 3 tbsp custard powder

.2 tbsp milk powder

. 2 tbsp sugar

.1 teaspoon vanilla essence

. 1½ cups water

. 1 tbsp milk powder mixed in ¼ cup water

. Honey

Methods for Custard puff pastry

. Preheat oven on 220°C

. Prepare custard by adding, custard powder in 1 ½ cups of cold water, 2 tbsp milk powder, sugar and vanilla essence.. Keep stirring and cook till it become thick, neither too liquid nor too dry

. Let custard to cool down completely

. Roll puff pastry to rectangular shape of about 25 cm wide, 30 cm long and 1 cm thick. Mark a line in the middle of the pastry, to make 2 sides, a slight line and make sure not to cut the pastry

. Pick one side of the pastry with a fork, and add prepared custard on it, dress well the custard and wrap the other side over it

. Brush milk and water mixture over the upper side of the pastry

. Cut the log into 12 or 10 pieces according to size of your choice

. Align on a baking tray
(I didn’t grease my baking tray, as the puff pastry already contained enough butter)

. Bake puff pastry till brown

. remove from oven, brush honey over the delicious puff pastry and serve warm with tea or coffee


Custard cream with jelly and canned fruits dessert

Custard cream jelly


. 2 cups whipping cream

. 4 tbsp custard powder

. 1 packet jelly powder

. 1 canned mix fruits

. Water

.2 tbsp sugar

. 1 ½ vanilla essence

Method for Custard cream with jelly and canned fruits dessert

. Pour cups of cold water in a saucepan; add custard powder, vanilla essence and sugar. Stir and make sure the mixture is well mix

.put custard mixture on medium heat and cook until it become a thick paste not too dry. Keep aside and let to cool completely

.in another saucepan, boil 1 small cup of water. Add the jelly powder, stir till completely dissolve and add 1 small cup of cold water into the mixture, stir. Pour the mixture in a plate of 2 cm thick and put the plate in refrigerator to allow the jelly to fix

. pour whipping cream in a bowl, whip and make it thick, to check if it’s done, just overturn the bowl, if the cream stuck in the bowl means it’s ready and beware if you didn’t whip the cream well ,you might drop all your cream down and need to re make all the steps once again

. Add prepared custard in the whipped cream, mix with a spoon and whisk once again the creams to make it thicker


.pour whipped mix cream in an icing bag, and press in your dessert bowls

.with a spoon crush the jelly, and put 1 tbsp over the cream of each bowls

.finally add canned mix fruits and serve
